We kicked off summer solstice with a little cookout that started late in the day. The kid hooked up her hammock, while my husband and I made hotdogs on the campfire in our fire-pit on the back porch and we made some s’mores! We sat and talked, while our daughter read her book.
The longest day of the year didn’t see the sun set until past 9PM. My telescope sat patiently waiting for darkness to fall so we could marvel at the night sky.
