Hand-painted and marked with a skull upon one side, each token bears the symbol of the promise it represents. It is neither payment nor reward, but proof that an agreement exists. Some tokens promise protection. Others opportunity. A few simply mean Mother Grimm is still thinking about what you’ve asked for. According to the folklore, Mother Grimm never grants wishes for free.

The curious thing is that most don’t remember receiving their token.  It simply appears one day; in a coat pocket, beneath a loose floorboard, tucked inside an old book, or waiting on a bedside table after a particularly vivid dream.

Others have purchased them in passing, unknowing their meaning or the power behind them.  Among collectors of the strange, Mother Grimm’s Tokens are highly sought after. Each represents a single bargain between Mother Grimm and its rightful bearer. It cannot truly be bought, sold, or traded, no matter how many hands it passes through. That is until the original owner has paid their debt for Mother Grimm’s favor.
